By accessing or using Speakify's text-to-speech service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Speakify provides a text-to-speech conversion service that allows users to convert written text into natural-sounding audio using advanced AI voice synthesis technology. The Service includes web-based access and API integration capabilities.

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must:

• Create an account with a valid email address
• Verify your email within 24 hours of registration
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 13 years of age

Important: Email verification is required within 24 hours of registration. Failure to verify your email will result in your account being locked until verification is completed.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Plans

We offer different subscription plans with varying token limits and features:

• Basic Plan: Weekly token reset cycle
• Pro Plan: Monthly token reset cycle with higher limits

4.2 Token Usage

Tokens are consumed based on the length of text converted. Unused tokens do not roll over to the next billing period. Token limits reset according to your plan's reset cycle.

4.3 Payments

Subscription fees are billed in advance. All payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Create deepfakes or misleading audio content
• Violate any intellectual property rights
• Distribute spam or malicious content
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Use automated systems to abuse the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. API Usage

If you use our API:

• Keep your API keys confidential and secure
• Do not share API keys with unauthorized parties
• Comply with rate limits and usage quotas
• Report any suspected security breaches immediately

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

The Service, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by Speakify and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the text you submit for conversion. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the Service. Generated audio is licensed to you for personal or commercial use according to your subscription plan.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OR QUALITY OF GENERATED AUDIO.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPEAKIFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
